At Ernest Street, we believe that being a part of the local church is not about religion, but a relationship with Jesus. Ernest Street is a place to come as an explorer, with all of your questions, and all of your baggage. We hope that as you walk through the doors, you will feel like you have found your community and can see yourself connecting with God in new and fresh ways. We are a community of people trying to follow the ways of Jesus in our everyday lives.

When Jesus was asked what was the most important commandment his answer was "Love God and Love Others'.   That remains our commitment as Jesus followers today, that in all we do we strive to love God, others in our work life, home life and Church life.

As Jesus followers we have a great message to share with people. We show what God is like when we do so through both our words and actions. As we share life with others, whether over a meal, in a conference, or out doing sports we are a physical testimony to God.

Jesus tells us to "go and make disciples". These words encourage us all as Jesus followers to help people grow in faith, to live out their faith and to be people who are actively growing with others in our love and understanding of God.

We are part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. The beliefs we hold to are stated in the "declaration of principal". As a community of Jesus followers we hope to be:
