At Ernest Street, we believe that being a part of the local church is not about religion, but a relationship with Jesus. Ernest Street is a place to come as an explorer, with all of your questions, and all of your baggage. We hope that as you walk through the doors, you will feel like you have found your community and can see yourself connecting with God in new and fresh ways.

 

We are simply a community of people trying to follow the ways of Jesus in our everyday lives.

When Jesus was asked what was the most important commandment his answer was "Love God and Love Others'.   That remains our commitment as Jesus followers today, that in all we do we strive to love God and others wherever we are.

As Jesus followers we have a great message to share with people. We show what God is like through what we say and what we do. We are a living, physical testimony to God as we do the normal stuff of life. We are a living testimony to God as we share life with others.

Jesus tells us to "go and make disciples". These words encourage us to help each other grow and to go out and show people what God is like. These words encourage us to actively share the good news we have experienced.

We are part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. The beliefs we hold to are stated in the "declaration of principal". As a community of Jesus followers we hope to be:
